A B O U T T H E P R O J E C T
The present project displays a series of 40 paintings and drawings that illustrate 40 verses of the traditional Mexican song: La Llorona (The Wailing Woman). The complete works, including the original images and the editorial design for the subsequents publication of an illustrated book, were elaborated with an award from FOESCA, the Oaxacan State Fund for Arts and Culture. In October of 2000, the series of paintings were exhibited at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco. . |
